Starting the Deadlift

After adjusting the grip the back has to assume the Pyramidal incline with the knees bent to parallel.

If you cannot afford to bend your knees that far you should postpone the deadlift until you prepare the ligaments and tendons of the knee joints to stretch without discomfort.

The lift will start with the head vertically positioned above the bar.  This will guarantee that the back is as close to vertical as possible.

The bar is placed above the front third of the feet.

The knees are thrust in front of the straight extended arms that show no slack.
