Finishing The Seated Press

After you have performed this majestic exercise you have to remember that the back is performing most of the resistance to shearing forces.  So harden the back little further before starting to lean backwards to off load the weight.

If you pick a decent bench where the designer has practiced some common sense in bringing the seat closer to the shelving racks, you would not have difficulty leaning backwards in that awkward position.  Some benches are designed in such a way that they might cause serious shoulder injury due to the inappropriately large distance between the vertical rack and the seat.
